"I recently got married at the Blaylock Mansion in Nelson and had the pleasure of working with Ashley. From day one she was extremely professional and easy to work with. She arrived early to scout out the perfect spots to capture our big day and despite the rain, the pictures turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Her style of photography is so natural and "unposed". Both my husband and I don't like having our photos taken and were nervous that we would be uncomfortable with the photo shoot but Ashley is so fun and good at what she does that it didn't seem like work at all! Hello, I am Ashley Hodgson and I am Effect Photography. I am a professional photographer, living in the west kootenays, with a young family of my own. I have loved photography for a decade and have been working as a professional for over four years. I am energetic, fun, I have a true passion for what I do. I am well spoken, putting my clients at ease by giving them direction, ensuring we acheive the perfect shot togther. I am outdoorsy, fitness is a big part of my life, but the most important thing to me is my family. I know how important those memories are to you because they are just as important to me. I love what I do and it shines through as I work, as well as in my imagery.
I don't just take pictures, I capture emotions and moments. I capture who you are in this moment, your personality and your loved ones. Your images should be an expression of who you are, boudoir or babies we are all people with depth, beauty and grace, I feel so blessed that it is my job to capture it.
